Workshops have been made an integral part of the training module for the IIS Officer Trainees. These workshops serve to mould and refine the skills, values and attitudes of the Officer Trainees through a reasonably detailed yet concise exposition of a particular topic, often through hands-on exercises.

Workshop coordinated by Associate Proffesor Rinku Arda Pegu was conducted in first week of January,2013.It made IIS Officer Trainees sensitive to gender issues, understanding struggle and psyche of women; past and contemporary environment around her for development.

Three days workshop was organised in first week of June,2013 at IIMC. The workshop was of great help to officers trainee in view of their future work duty as foreign correspondents.They were trained by experts in the television field about how to face camera,maintaining eye contact with the viewer,pleasant presentation and other nitty-gritties of being infront of camera through which millions of eyes are glaring at you.
