Roadrunners is the Sports Club of IIS Officer Trainees. Recreation with cultivation and honing of the spirit of sportsmanship is its main objective. The trainees actively participate in different sports and games which help them in keeping their body and mind agile and alert.

Members of Sports Committee: Mahima Vashisht, Nirgude Yogesh Babenrao, Neha Jalali & Suresh Kumar Gadela.

Presently, the club is facilitating the creation of sportsmanship among officer trainees. After an intensive day of training, the trainees relax and recharge themselves by playing sports like badminton, cricket, table tennis and indoor games like carom.

The club’s current overarching focus is the upgradation of sports infrastructure in the IIMC campus. The tasks before it as of now are:
  • Repair of the campus Tennis Court
  • Construction of an indoor badminton court
  • Refurbishing the sports equipment
  • Setting up of a gym in the Officers’ Hostel
  • Exploring the possibility of gaining access to the JNU Sports facilities
Apart from these, other exciting ideas compete for the trainees’ attention, including the organization of the first IIS-IIMC Sports Meet. There is a long way ahead, the aim of the club is to leverage the skills and creativity of its members to leave the IIMC Campus far more sporty for the batches to come!
